bad design for all amex blue's

I have the blue sky preferred for only 3 months now and it is so scratched, the blue hologram thingy is right where the strip is and my card looks terrible, it looks like ive had for 20 years lol. I think it should have been like a layer of plastic over the blue thing so this doesnt happen, I dont think my card is the only one that this has happend to. I would hope amex does something about this. I might ask for a new card and maybe put a nice piece of clear tape over the blue thing. what ya think? any better idea?

I had mine for 6 months before I swapped it out for one with the EMV chip and it still looked like new after many uses. I guess it depends on how much you use it and how it is kept when not in use. I used to have two cards to a single card slot and that ate up cards pretty quick.

its my daily use card, I have swiped it over 200 times in 3 months, I guess that might be it, but it looked this way after maybe 20 swipes

To be honest, it's a VERY pretty design. Unfortunately it is flimsy and feels cheap to hold. I've had to replace my card twice and I've barely had it over a year with heavy usage/swiping.
