I am a state of NY Resident. I have recently filed for divorce from (ex) husband- however- His student loans are about to default $25k approximately. Our divorce is currently pending in NYS.
I did not co-sign for any of his student loans- none of his loans appear on my credit. I am not a co-signer on any asset nor debt with him- but we are still legally married.
Question- Am I liable for his student loan debt? Will my pay be garnished?
