CMPPTNRS "Account Transferred"..... Where did it go? ACS?

I have Perkins Loans and Direct Loans. The DLs show up fine on my credit reports, but my Perkins, which is listed as CMPPTNRS/University Name is showing as Transferred, closed/Never late.

I never have been late on my payments, so I'd like this to reflect on my credit report if it helps, but more importantly, I'm wondering where was it transferred to (ACS I'm assuming) and why is that ACS account then not on my credit report? Who can I call? Thanks in advance!

did your accounts JUST get transferred?  that might be why it's not on your reports yet.  you should get a letter in the mail telling you who they sold your accounts to.

I should fight to have it listed as open right? Since it will reflect as a positive on my credit score?

they can't report it as open.  they sold it to somebody else.  there's nothing negative about it.  it's just a positive closed account.

But.... whoever they sold it to isn't reporting at all. Sorry, I'm just super confused by it.

i don't think you have anything to worry about.  wait for a letter, & keep an eye on your reports.  it's bound to show up sometime

It's been at least a year or two since it was 'sold'. And its being reported as open on equifax. But the number listed doesnt work Grrrrrrrr!

i thought you didn't know when it was sold.....so you found it on your reports?  that's good!

the number for equifax doesn't work?  or for your creditor?  you can probably google the information.

like i said earlier, though, i don't think it's hurting you either way.  there's no negative information on the account.
