Loan Forgiveness- Dept of Education

I have a question about a loan that was discharged for disability in 2010. On my report that, it lists this as a Negative Account on TransUnion and Experian. Equifax shows it as satisfactory.

When I went directly to TransUnion to look at my report there, it did not list it as a negative account. The same for Experian.

Before loan was discharged it was paid as agreed and had no late payments and the credit reports reflect that.

So why when I access it through My Fico does it have it listed as a negative account?

Re: Loan Forgiveness- Dept of Education

You may want to contact the lender and/or file a dispute through the credit reporting agencies. If the loans were paid as agreed before they discharged, that should be reflected in your credit history. Smiley Wink

Re: Loan Forgiveness- Dept of Education

Each of the credit reporting agencies on the individual sites do not list it negatively and have the account paid as agreed with no late payments

It is only negative here at myFICO in the score section.

Given that's the case, I would request a mod move this to the myFICO Product Feedback subforum.
