I'd like to help, but there is something I want clarified:
When do YOU know that was when you first became delinquent? It almost sounds like you "know" you are delinquent but can't find that on your report. By golly, if you can't see it there, don't try to bring it out! ![]()
Nelnet is almost notorious for not regularly updating. I paid on time month after month, and my score never went up because they weren't updating my report. Then I submitted a dispute letter, and they updated almost a year's worth of payments- and my score went up overnight by almost 60 points.
But If I knew there was a 90-day late somewhere in the middle of all that, I wouldn't have disputed it for at least a few years (until it was old enough to not have such a huge impact on my score).
