Unsubsidized Stafford Loan Question

Hello, I recently completed my FAFSA for the 2009-10 school year.  My EFC was $52,000 or so.  Basically, my parents are not footing the bill whatsoever.  This is fine, I already had a loan for last year from Chase, and when looking to get approved again this year, I was denied, which led me to filling out the FAFSA.

Will I be eligible for an unsubsidized Stafford loan for $7,500?  I am a junior in college.  The cost of this school year will be about $12,000.  I am asking this because everything seems to have gone through with the school, as in they have received my FAFSA.  But they are saying I am not receiving any financial aid.  Now, one thing I'm noticing is that the classes I have registered for are not on my billing statement yet.  How do I go about getting the Stafford loans in process?

Thanks in advance.

Have you talked to your financial aid office?  The registrar to find out why your classes are not showing?

Re: Unsubsidized Stafford Loan Question

I just filed the FAFSA Thursday night, and it showed processed just yesterday.  Only today did the financial aid show up on my school's side.  I am going to go there on Monday to ask about the charges and see about the loans.

In the meantime, I'm just concerned that I will not be offered the unsubsidized loans.  Will I still be offered them, regardless of the high EFC?  I know I can wait until Monday, but I'm just freaking out until then.  Any of your help would be greatly appreciated.

Unsub is not EFC based.  You should have no problem.
