July 2020 Check In

Hello-July

I know you guys are all hard at work with your credit goals.  Have you progressed as far as you hoped?  Were there any unforeseen expenses that cropped up and may have thrown you off schedule? Hope you are staying safe during the quarantine!

As a reminder, participation in these monthly check-ins is optional but encouraged. The goal is to help keep you on track, so feel free to post your progress updates here. This is a no-judge zone; feel free to say what's keeping you up at night or give yourself a Kudo for having it all together.

Did you hit any potholes or speedbumps? Achieve some milestones, either small or mighty? Change your goals or add new ones? The year is flying by!

Let us know how you're doing!

Re: July 2020 Check In

Great start to July with the beach and sun! Sure would be easy to take our eyes off the FICO or Vantage Scores! Alas, do we not want to enjoy summer fun and have good scores? The question of the month!

Let's all have true confession and cleanse our FICO souls. Stay the course. Score up the ladder! Oh wow, starting to get slushy.

This is the place to share and remind our selves what we have accomplished in the world of credit and maybe just maybe, what are our short term goals? Many here can also add comments that will support our future aspirations!

Scary platitudes! See you around this site Smiley Wink

Re: July 2020 Check In

Well July is off to a great start, credit wise. One of my Fico scores finally over 700, hopefully the rest will cross over soon. Vantage scores around 715, so definitely looking at those for motivation. Definitely locking myself in the garden until next year.

Re: July 2020 Check In

I'm so estatic this morning.  It's been such a slow, long -- strike that -- very long trek to get to a "good" FICO 8 score.  I've inched my way to 660 on Experian, so it still felt far away at the rate I'm going.  BUT I woke up this morning to a 7-point increase.  I am now at 667.  Only 3 more points and my Experian FICO 8 score will be officially in the "good" category.   Hallelujah!!!  I've come a long way since beginning my rebuild in the humbling "poor" category.  Hopefully, Equifax isn't far behind.  TU isn't even close, though.  I will pull a 3-bureau report sometime this  month.

I should add that on Experian all of my other FICO scores have been higher and in the FICO "good" category for  a while.

My mortage FICO score 2  -  677.

Auto score 2 - 674.  Auto score 8 - 679.

Under credit carding lending:  Bankcard score 3 - 677.  FICO score 3  - 680.  Bankcard 8 - 678.
