I know you guys are all hard at work with your credit goals. Have you progressed as far as you hoped? Were there any unforeseen expenses that cropped up and may have thrown you off schedule? Hope you are staying safe during the quarantine!
As a reminder, participation in these monthly check-ins is optional but encouraged. The goal is to help keep you on track, so feel free to post your progress updates here. This is a no-judge zone; feel free to say what's keeping you up at night or give yourself a Kudo for having it all together.
Did you hit any potholes or speedbumps? Achieve some milestones, either small or mighty? Change your goals or add new ones? The year is flying by!
Let us know how you're doing!
Saw a nice 30 point bump when my medical collection dropped off this month. Slowly getting closer to my goal. Mortgage and auto scores are all above 620. That was another milestone that I was looking to hit as well. My rebuild only started in January, and knocking on the 700 door 7 months in feels pretty good. I know I'm still a year away, but the progress is good!
I lost 1 FICO across the board while on vacation. It was a utilization ding because MSC Cruises hits your card every day instead of at the end, which makes it hard to keep up. I have one more card that should report by Monday, so we will see what happens with my scores after that.
Not the month I was hoping for! Been dealing with the Comenity fiasco (IYKYK) but did get a small bump on TU (+9) and an unexpected large bump on EX (+17). Not much changed outside of getting automatic small CLI from Citi on two of my three cards for good credit behavior. This did drop my individual utilization on my one card carrying a balance from >89% to 70% so maybe that was it. My loan also passed the 3 month mark so perhaps I got a score increase for that? And at last, the unauthorized HP from Comenity was removed. Anyhow, pretty pleased. I wasn't sure I would be able to reach my goal by the end of the year but it seems doable now.
I was planning to apply for a 0% BT card this month but had been waiting until my EX report was updated and the inquiry removed so maybe I'll pull the trigger now.
Almost missed July. These scores are from a 3B pull I did on the first of the month. I'll pull another one tomorrow evening.
Utilization is a bit high, keeping my scores from where they could be. They're all over the place.
