Good morning, all...
Thankfully, March 2025 was uneventful. Here in Puerto Rico, eggs hit $11.99/dozen, so I don't eat as many eggs...lol. Other than that, everything is about the same, since my wife has not been complaining lately. Have a great day.
Hi, everyone!
I suppose we won't be getting an April thread. My EX8 jumped from 744 to 750. I assume this is because my oldest card hit 2 years old this month. My EQ8 moved up incrementally from 762 to 763.
In some other updates, Capital One granted me a $300 CLI on my Savor. I find this particularly interesting since when I applied for one back in November, I was denied for insufficient usage of my existing credit limit. In the months since, I've actually spent significantly less on my Savor. Well, whatever.
One last thing: I was able to leverage my strong credit to breeze through the application process and secure my first apartment! I'm thrilled about that and am now seriously considering picking up the Bilt card. We'll see.
See you in May (if we get a new thread).
Checking in for May. This thread seems to be mostly dead but it is still useful to me. My goal is a 745 (Experian Vantage3) by 8/1/25 and I am now at 740, so I am almost there. I think next month I will reach it. Other score: TransUnion Fico8 741, Experian Fico8 754, Equifax Fico8 759, Equifax Fico9 793. I like Experian Vantage3 because it is conservative and it is what Chase Credit Journey uses, so it is very helpful.

Best of luck on reaching your goal.
April 2025 has come and gone. Another status quo month for me. My wife and I spent about $200 more on groceries this month. All other expenses were about the same. Happy and healthy May 2025 to all.
