Rebuilding from a fico 8 of 505 since December of 21
Currently at my all time highs of 766eq, 758ex, 752tu
goals this month are to keep up my on time payments and let my profile continue to age.
my other goal is to join a cu this month and start building a relationship in hopes of a future credit card with a healthy limit with them.
I put in an app for a Penfed online savings account but they did not get back to me yet
email said I'd hear from them in three to five business days, It's been almost ten
I sent a follow up email to them with my application number yesterday. If I don't hear back by Monday I'll just pick a different cu
@Snook_on_the_Line Try NFCU if you can. I am a member of PenFed, used to use them for my main checking but moved it to NFCU, not sure what's taking them so long to respond to you. Alliant is another great one to consider.
May 1 , 3B pull:
Big jumps, especially on Experian. I was expecting a little, like 7 points on Ex 8, but it went up 27 points! (20 points over last month, but 27 over yesterday.)
Experian was the star of the show today:
8 up 20 to 797
9 up 22 to 808
2 no change, 758
Auto 2 no change, 762
Auto 8 up 22 to 806
Auto 9 up 22 to 811
Bankcard 8 up 30 to 834
Bankcard 2 up 10 to 766
3 up 4 to 764
Bankcard 9 up 22 to 818
10 up 17 to 778
10T no change, 782
Auto 10 up 23 to 785
Bankcard 10 up 16 to 780
Wow.
I didn't know what I had done to so impress them. . . . Then I looked back at some details in the report. I have a personal loan from PenFed. It usually reports a month or so behind where I actually am on payments. I recently got it paid down below 10% of the original amount ($909 of $10k). That is showing a balance of $909 on Experian but still showing $1231 on Equifax and TransUnion. The people here weren't kidding when they said you get a boost when your loan balance is below 10%.
Still gardening. May go for the Citi AT&T card. $250 SUB with only $500 spend.😁
There it is! 😲
Goal accomplished.
When I started this I set my goal at 740. I said back then that when I reach 740, I'm going to raise the goal to 780. 740 came quick. 780 has taken a while. No, I'm not raising the bar to 800 at this time. I'm here and I'm happy about it. 🙂🙃🙂
I'm going to go buy a Corvette and mess up that score before my BCP reports 😎
EDIT: Equifax updated. Never before have I had an 800 on a FICO 8 score.
Paid off my car loan and got pummeled. Down an average of about 23 points across the three. EQ took it the hardest at -27.
Made a major purchase and will carry a balance on a card for a few months. It's 0%, so all good, but will be maxed out for all intents and purposes. My scores will rebound in a few months.
New scores in siggy. They are all still above 800 for the time being.
