12 point drop on TU

ran my credit this weekend and found my trans union droped from a 690 to a 677... it looks like this

Your most recent late payment happened
2 Years, 10 Months agoMost FICO High Achievers [?], about 93%, have no missed payments at all. But of those who do have a missed payment, it happened nearly 4 years ago, on average.

this moved to the negative side. on 1/5 when I ran my credit it was on the positive side. not to sure of what happ.

also looks like my car lease is being reported as a credit card now.

on the plus my EQ is at a 707

Re: 12 point drop on TU

You have made remarkable progress in a very short time. Congratulations!

I always take my explanations from Score Watch with a grain of salt. You're right...a negative can become a positive, then bounce back to negative next time around. I think Score Watch tries to come up with a certain number of comments, and by the time there is not much to criticize, that's what happens.

When you say that your car lease is reporting as a credit card...I'm not sure I understand. They certainly don't classify it as revolving credit, do they? Can you please give us some more details on what you're seeing?

As for the drop, did your utilization change? It's a 13-pt drop...not huge in the scheme of things, but something on your report changed. Any new inquiries?

Re: 12 point drop on TU

OK...I don't think your lease is being counted as a credit card, but it is being counted in your total debt.

Bringing your balance down on your credit cards is likely the fastest way to boost your score. I say that without knowing your utilization, but getting the cards down always helps.
