No credit card required

This makes no sense. Why would it lower 17 points?
You need to keep a small balance on one card. 1-9% of that card's CL.
I got a alert yesterday from myfico, so i log in to find out that my exp score has dropped by 11 points. so i pay the money to pull a new report and go through it to find out it was because my credit cards all reported zero for the month. kinda backward thinking to me, scoring seems like a game that has to be played in order to get better scores
yep, but the thing about this game is everyone here is willing to help.

+850 (or +300, depending on who you are.)
As stated you have to keep a small balance at all times reported to the CRA on one card or you get dinged for using 0 credit. As soon as you let 1 card report this balance the points will be regained.

LOL, I know and I agree that it is annoying. The good news is that utilization can be easily manipulated for success with things like mortgage apps, car loan apps and cc app sprees.

Agreed.
Alright, thank you everyone. I appreciate it.

I feel your pain, when I mess up and all accounts are "0", I loose 12-18 points. And as some believe, I don't get all of mine back on the next reporting of only one card with <1%. It has been 3 months and I still have not received all of my points back on EX and TU, and nothing else has changed on the reports other than util.
