19 pt FICO jump, wish it was not temporary..

Well, SW gave me an alert today. My EQ FICO jumped 19 points. Smiley Happy

If only it was permanent. I did a BT and the transfer out posted, but the new account holding the balance is not there yet. I will lose alot of it when it posts. Maybe not all of it because the new line adds more available credit so util will be better. But I am going to bask in the glow until the new account hits!

The BT saved you money and gave you a peak at what your score will be when the BT is PIF.  Good for motivation and the bank account.  Your scores will recover and in the long run you will beenfit from this.

Most definitely! I have 2 more BT's that haven't even hit. Moved a lot to 0%. The card that reported to cause the jump just offered me a nice BT offer as well. I can move even more around to get it at 0%. I know I need to be patient for the next two years and not even worry about the scores. They are going to jump around like crazy (especially for the next few months) as I move stuff around. Still, it is nice to see better FICOs are possible up the road.  I need to focus on the real prize- being debt free.
