Lessons learned - hope this is helpful for those that follow.
When i received the Withdrawal Notices from the IRS, I prepared the dispute paperwork and sent off the notices. In my case, Experian and Transunion were quick each time to remove the liens from my reports.
In the case of Equifax, their team looked at the case # and they did not match. Ultimately, I discovered that the IRS Withdrawal Notice was based on the initial lien court case # and the Equifax report had the court case # for after the lien was released. If you are in this situation - take the time to look at the case # and then get paperwork from the court system - in my case 15 minutes research online, and include that with your dispute.
Hope this is behind me in the next couple weeks.
So today, Equifax finally dropped the last tax lien from my report. My score went from a 690 to a 755. I still have 5 inquiries, 7 credit cards that were opened in Jan and Feb or 2014 and three cards reporting balances. My goal is to be in the 780 range by the time I take a mortgage this fall.
EX: 658 696 - gain from having the final 2 liens removed - 38 points. (I have a charge off that drops on 10/2014 - only on Exp)
EQ: 690 755 - gain of 65 points
TU: 696 (was 716 with TU 98 - changed to 696 with TU 08 score) - now reporting as 773 - gain of 87 points.
In any event - thanks again to those that have come before me and shared their experiences - it has truly changed my credit scores!!!
Now I just to have to wait for Oct. 2014 for my last charge off to drop from EX and have all my scores be in the 750+ range.
