Re: 36 point drop for balance going up $276

simplynoir ~ Thanks for posting as I was concerned about the same thing as OP (scores dropping). I am required to spend $4k on my new CSP card -but- the limit is $21k . . . I'll watch the spend over the next 2 months.

Starting FICO 8 Score in 06/2019: EQ-625, TU-649, EX-640
Current FICO 8 Score in 06/2021: EQ-796, TU-806, EX-812
Goal FICO 8 Score in 06/2022: EQ-825, TU-850, EX-850

Wow you learn something new everyday lol so basically even if I have 31k limit even if I max out a 100$ limit card it will drop it that bad even if it’s only like 1% total utilization of my credit limits?

Unfortunately, yes. FICO doesn't differentiate from limits but by the utilization in relation to the limits on each card and total utilization as well. The good news is utilization has short-term memory so if you pay off the $100 card then next month you should get all those points back. Well, assuming nothing else is different that is

Both aggreagte and individual utilization is important. Overall (aggregate) is not the only thing considered.
