45 points drop when nothing changed

Hi! Could someone please help me figure out what happened to my credit score? Got a drop of 45 points today for no apparent reason. I am attaching screenshots of Capital One and Credit Karma. There were NO changes with credit cards on my part. No missed payments, no new credit cards, nothing!

Re: 45 points drop when nothing changed

I wouldn't spend a lot of time worrying about it, the Vantage scores on CreditKarma are not FICO scores and aren't widely used by lenders

Have you pulled any FICO scores recently to see where you stand ?

Re: 45 points drop when nothing changed

Thank you for your response! I logged in to Experian website and it seems that my FICO credit score even increased! What a strange story...

Re: 45 points drop when nothing changed

Yea Vantage scores are weird and highly volatile. But the good news is that they're not really used, so as mentioned above, I wouldn't worry. Smiley Happy

Re: 45 points drop when nothing changed

i agree with everyone credit karma can drop out of no where and can drop a lot while your fico may stay the same / never drop - but from what i saw from your screenshot your balances increased which means your overall utlization must have went up - that generally causes a negative impact on your credit score
