Nope, never mind on that. Winds up there was a late payment noted on the mortgage we had with BOA at the time of BK filing, that was disputed for over a year. I thought it was showing up on EXP as something new between the 3/16 date and the 11/16 date. It was incorrect info, that has now been fixed as we were never late, however it was nothing new between these dates therefore not causing that drop in September. Working on getting you those charts over to you. I've gone through them but can't find anything, maybe you will spot something different though. BTW, while I was on the phone with Experian they are deleting all comments / disputes from report as we plan on going for this mortgage soon, and would rather do it now then when applying. God only knows what that is going to do.

Nothing but goodness getting them whacked when it comes to getting mortgaged.

Should just be able to cut and paste them from the MF member center, that's what I did on the sample... wasn't intended to be a time intensive request heh.

For Equifax that's the relevant one.  Should be FICO 5 for Equifax, FICO 4 for Transunion, FICO 2 for Experian in the interface.

If you didn't take said 62 point drop on these scores, you're in the clear for a 99.999% of the mortgages underwritten in the US.

Re: 62 point drop, did I finally find the answer.

I'm smiling right now. The hit was on my Fico 8, that is what I was alerted on, so my Fico 5,4,2 were not affected at all, from what I can see now. I wasn't even  looking at that, until you pointed that out. Soooooo. I dont need to be concerned for a mortgage? What about the Fico 8 scores, what should I be concerned with on that as that is where tha huge drop was?  A bit confused.

Mortgage app is stil about 3 to 4 months away. Are you saying don't add myself back as an AU? Would it not be worth it to see if I could get those points back. The card is in great standing, barely used and PIF every month.

That's the opposite of what I'm saying. I'm saying you should return to exactly where you were before the score drop, which in your case would mean going back to being an authorized user.

Correct, mortgages aren't underwritten under FICO 8 with the very, very, incredibly, absurdly rare portfolio lender... and if you stumble across one of those just walk away and find one of the literally thousands which underwrite on FICO 5,4,2.

FICO 8 underwrites a bunch of credit cards and auto loans but isn't a concern regarding mortgages.

For data purposes I'd absolutely love to see the reason code differences for FICO 8 from your two 3B reports, similar to what you did for the mortgage scores... if the AU you dropped was your only credit card I could see that big of a drop in FICO 8 but otherwise you may have stumbled across something we haven't seen before and it'd be useful to diagnose if you're willing to post a bit more.

Re: 62 point drop, did I finally find the answer.

Jamica, I did add myself back on last night. Not sure how long it is going to take to see any results from this.  Funny, that I have been focusing on this change on Fico 8, but it had no affect on Fico Score Model 5, 4, or 2 as Rev pointed out.    Happy, but still walking around confused.

Actually I have a new conjecture: was your other credit card one of the ones you are having your dispute remarks removed from?

My thinking is that the other card may actually have been in dispute and might be discounted from the algorithm as a result; if that is the case, and the AU was then your only revolving tradeline that was counting, then removing it absolutely could cause a 60 point drop.  We saw that twice when we switched over to FICO 8 from FICO 5 for monitoring where people who had installment lines but no credit cards or other revolving tradelines took a 50-60 point penalty.

Would still love to see the reason codes though purty please Smiley Happy.
