751 with BK reporting

well I did not think it was possible

but my score was 731 (TU-Walmart) on June 3rd - even lower in the month of May

and today Barclays TU score is showing 751

The only thing I can think of is 2-3 inquires that dropped off and three accounts reached their two year anniversary ( july 2012)

other than that, things have been rather constant - no negative remarks whatsoever since the  BK which is due to drop off in four months ( november 14)

BK7 Discharge: October 2004 Starting Score: 590 March 2018 EQ & EX & TU FICO Score: 846 & 847 & 850

Goal Score: 800+ across the board | Goals Hit: 3 Active Cards: 2

Gardening Since: October 2015 Garden Goal: Oct 2018

Re: 751 with BK reporting

I didn't think it was possible either but learn something new every day.

Mind doing a napkin math AAOA calc too just to see if you ticked over a boundary?  Two years isn't known to be a major seasoning boundary for a tradeline, and when you say the inquiries dropped off, did they reach a 1 year anniversary or have you had a clean sheet for the full two years since those accounts you mentioned were opened?  In the first case shouldn't have been a huge change for that, and in the second one they shouldn't have counted at all.

Regardless, serious congrats!

Re: 751 with BK reporting

Hi Revelate

What do you mean by a napkin math Average age, do you mean if i went from 8 years to 9 years aaoa ( for example)

Also, in terms of the inquiries there were about 2-4 inquiries from 2012 that completed their two year anniversary and fell off

everything else is the same really - utilization has always been at 3-5% if that really

and no new tradelines since dec 2012

Re: 751 with BK reporting

Yeah, back of hand AAOA calc.

Have to see I guess in a while, I'm pretty much perma-gardened other than a potential PG of a business card or two (again) in the future, but not expecting any new tradelines so maybe will see if I can get above my 720 boundary condition at that point.

Re: 751 with BK reporting

How long were both of you in the mid to high 600's before you went over the 700 mark? Like how many years?

I have more derogs on my report than just the tax lien unfortunately so can't be too precise.

FICO '04 I haven't made it, 3.5 years out from my remaining tax lien (and collection and 60 day late) (12/10).

FICO '08 hard to say with my file and the fact my Walmart card only displays the last 12 months history, but if I remember correctly I had a slightly over 700 score on '08 score 1/13 or 2 and small change years out, with a year and slightly more positive history at that point... though I had some payment history on an old BOFA credit card (the one with the 60 day late) so it's difficult to really compare timelines unfortunately.

Re: 751 with BK reporting

Thank you Pizza1 and I agree

I quickly realized mid 2013 being less than two years ago, that its pointless to apply for any new just to beg for a lower percentage APR, or find out that you will never get the 40k bonus points and low limites (at times) before that BK drops off

in terms of my journey

BK was filed november 2004, my FICO was roughly 580 across the board -

Mind you, I did not apply much for credit initially other than a car loan until almost 2007 - I just was discouraged by the high fees and practically useless limits at the time.

However, I would say around early 2013 similar to revelate on TU 08 i started to creep up above the 700

Re: 751 with BK reporting

Also I already get TU 08 from walmart/ and discover

I am now thinking i should pull EQ 7 EX here sometime early november just so I can measure the difference, otherwise i only have TU -08 to go by

what do you think?

Re: 751 with BK reporting

Heck yea! Do it now! Your scores aren't gonna change much at all now this late in the game. Pull them now, then pull them again in say mid December to make sure the CRA had enough time to delete. I'd call them up in November and ask when in November they will be deleted. A few have had luck getting off a Little early. Call now an see!
