Gotcha.  So in 6 months when your youngest accounts cross the 1 year mark you'll see a gain based on your AoYA crossing 1 year.  I would imagine you'd see another similar point gain when you cross from AAoA of 1 year to 2 years, give or take.

If that Ch13 is still on there won't be any change.  AOYA (recently opened an account) doesn't exist as a penalty in the derogatory scorecards as near as anyone can ascertain... certainly the reason code doesn't show up in FICO 04 models.  I'd like to see a FICO 8 reason code for it, but as TT correctly states not everything is tracked via reason code, I will try to track when my own most recent accounts go over a year while on a pretty scorecard (EX/EQ) as there's arguably still too many things to complain about on my TU.

For datapoint purposes I gained 4 points for going to AAOA of 2 years, didn't get anything on 3 years, and not certain I'll ever be able to conclusively test again at 4+ unfortunately (too many accounts without massive sprees to go back down... and I now get the darned reason code for recently opened which was never a concern testing, way more difficult to isolate now).

I'm not going to beat a dead horse on the 7 years 8 months as being a threshold let alone max threshold not being necessarily accurate.

Well, I guess the OP will be able to report back and let us know if he sees a gain on HIS profile.

No, the BK13 is officially OFF all 3 CRA's, so I'm good there.  I'll keep you guys posted, but I won't realistically see anything until the end of the month.  All my credit cards are due on the 22nd and they don't report until the end of the month.

*shrug*  This forum is about exchange, anyway I've had enough of the snide comments on this board.

Re: AAoA Threshold For an Increase

Rev, not for nothing, but perhaps you should consider why the "snide comments" are coming.  I appreciate your credit knowledge prowess, but often you come across as abrasive or combative.  The picture you paint is that if you haven't experienced it yourself [with respect to your profile] that it's no good.  As you said, this forum is about exchange.  When two people are exchanging data and you step in and say "well I haven't experienced that myself, so I'm not buying it" it just takes the wind out of the sails of those having the discussion.  It isn't value-adding.  It doesn't accomplish anything other than those having the discussion wanting to bail on it.  As a moderator, I'm sure this isn't your intention... but I think you should know that this is sometimes the result of your posts.

It was not my intention to come across as making a snide remark.  I was just emphasizing that I didn't have the BK13 to worry about any more because, up until last month, EQ was acting like they weren't going to remove it like the other 2 CRA's.
