AMEX Balances

I have an AMEX Platinum, which is supposedly unlimited (I know there is a limit). I think my high balance at one time was around $30,000. My current balance is around $4,000. How does FICO determine what percentage of the limit is being used?

Re: AMEX Balances

We also have this card an I'm interested in the answer. Logically cards with no pre-set limit should not count for utilization calculation but I'm sure they figured out a fancy trick to slash us.

Re: AMEX Balances

I have read that the highest statement amount is factored in as the "credit limit".

Starting Score: TU 766 EQ 788
Current Score: TU 788 EQ 811
Goal Score: TU 800 EQ 800
