Had a conversation recently on Reddit where someone mentioned AU accounts are not included in aging metrics, didn't believe him, but the tool tips descriptions on the myFICO app specific say they are not, for any metric.
This runs counter to everything I have ever seen about AU accounts, in fact another forum I am on someone asked about AU accounts and has screen shots of their AU account being their only account and the aging metrics directly reflect the age of the AU account
is this a typo on the myFICO site, the difference between CMS fluff or something else?
The impact of AU accounts on aging metrics has always confused me, but I was also told that AU cards don't count toward aging metrics. I was told this by an "AU Expert" on Reddit. He doesn't claim that title, but I give it to him anyway, because I know he's done the research and is a true authority on the subject. I believe that, although Experian shows the Age of AU accounts, it is not included in scoring calculations.
I was an AU a few years ago. It didn't even report.
