Tested to see what would happen if I went from 1 acct with balances to 2. I lost 12 points.
aggregate util went from 2% to 5%, not enough to trigger a point loss, the good news is, I made sure to test this theory with my chase card, so I can easily pay it off and my score will bounce back. If I wanted to.
I always like science experiments... you went into the, over 50% of revolving accounts reporting balances penalty box.

I have over 300K in CL, and typically carry a single $3 balance on one card. However, even when I carry a small balance on one or two other cards concurrently, I do not lose any points.

^^^ This
2/3 cards > 50%
In the interest of science, let one more than 50% if your cards report a few dollars. 😁😁

Get a life. 🙄

Wow! That's impressive micromanagement.
You should be able to report small balances on 5 or 6 cards without negatively impacting score. Small meaning under 9% of each card's CL.
AZE1 is a useful score optimization strategy for thin files, particularly young ones. It's not really value add for thick files where multiple cards can report without a score penalty.

I have. When I'm AZE2, AZE3, AZE4, I don't see much, if any, difference. At AZE12 (of 18 cards) it is noticeably worse even with aggregate utilization in the 4%-5% range. I don't have exact numbers because there's usually multiple things changing so I can't pinpoint exactly what caused what. But a few showing balances? No biggie. Most showing balances? Not good.
