Just wondering how accurate the score watch alerts are regardign reasons for a score change. I was expecting multiple score jumps over the next few days due to reducing my utiliization on 3 seperate cards as well as 1 item falling off my reports.
Today I got an alert with a 25 point increase and the followign alert:
Your FICO score may have gone up because the following 4 factors are not hurting your FICO score as much as before:

I am just wondering if this would mean it was from the one item falling off, or maybe it was lowering my utilization on the cards.
you are correct. the jump would be because a derog disappeared from you report. are your new lower cc balances reflected on your CR already?
I have not seen them yet. This morning my score was at 646. Now it is a 675 so it was actually a 29 point jump. My score has been at 646 sicne July 2nd when I had several inquiries go through for the new house.
Nice Jump!
since your new lower balance is not showing on your report yet, then chances are, you'll get another increase when they post. not sure how big or small of a jump. same thing happened to a couple of months ago. 2 baddies was deleted and i got a nice jump in score. then when my new cc balances updated showing less than 10% util, i got another boost. if i remember correctly, it was around a 50 point boost for me.
