Chase/wamu and BofA were burnt, but being ch13, and paid back, maybe they won't hold it agains me as much...
Im good till the spring, Next goal is a Lowes card where do flooring. They do 0% from time to time.
Amazon prime as well, as we buy way too much on Amazon, and again, the 0% comes in handy on large purchases.
yeah, I hope the SS shows up soon on experian. And I gotta figure out why TU is so low.... Need that for lowes, would like it over 680 by February.
This is very helpful. Thanks.
Welcome :-)

Personally, I have a "don't call the bank" philosophy in general -- unless you really really need to.for some reason. In this case, your packet will be arriving by the end of the week, probably by Thursday. You still have plenty of time to get started on your SS loan. Remember that, whether you were to get approved for an Alliant loan today, or two weeks from now, it would still report on the same day (namely the end of the month, in this case Aug 31). So you are doing fine regarding timeline.
But yeah, as soon as you get your packet, feel free to get the ball rolling on your loan.

@Anonymous wrote:You might want to set up an account with Credit Karma in a few days. It's free and a nice way to get your TU and EQ reports, as often as once a week.
I wouldn't do it today though. Wait until Wednesday. I think it is very likely that your new Alliant balance will appear on your TU or EQ report by then. Remember that it has only been 5 business days since Alliant updated it, and we have seen cases where it takes 7, 8, or even 9 before it appears on the actual -- though I think 3-4 business days is more typical.
I have an account with credit karma and still nothing, it will update in 2 days so let see, also i check the creditWise on capital one and it shows Alliant with $44 so it will show up in all CB probrably today or tomorrow for sure.
I will update as soon as it shows.
Thanks.
Update on this, TU and EQ were updated 2 days after posted this but EX still shows $80 balance, my TU and EQ went to close 745 but my EX still shows 719, any idea why is not reporting to EX??, already 17 days after July 30 and nothing yet.
Thanks in advance.

My first reporting for my SSL occurred 7/31. It appears on Credit Check Total for TU on 8/5 and Equafax on 8/7. It has not reported yet on Experian...My first auto pay is 8/21. I will delete it on 8/23 and pay down to 44$. If it still is not reporting to Ex by 9/17 , I will contact Alliant CSR...but not until then...because I don't want to bother them...I'm sure it will report next month...I can wait...
Same happened to me, SSL reported 7/31 ($44) and it appears on CCT just for TU and EQ on 8/7 but not EX, i will wait until Friday and then call Alliant.
By the way you don't need to wait for the autopay to happens (8/21), send an internal message to Alliant and they will stop it for you, i did that and in 2 days i was able to pay it down to just $44 but totally up to you.
