Re: Adding an installment loan -- the Share Secure technique

I heard from him almost as soon as I applied, mainly I think because I jumped the gun and applied before the funds were available. I paid it down to about $80 a few days ago, does anyone know how long it takes the $420 to show back in your savings as available!

Re: Adding an installment loan -- the Share Secure technique

Be advised, CCT is not displaying the Alliant share secure loan correctly for EX.  It doesn not show at all for me for EX, but when I checked the EX back door, it is there (and correct)  Please see this thread: http://ficoforums.myfico.com/t5/Understanding-FICO-Scoring/Alliant-claims-my-account-is-reporting-ac...

Now that I know it is actually reporting, it makes more sense that my EX Fico 8 went up by 44 pts in the beginning of this month...hahaha.

So my tally of points gained due to the secure loan are:

EQ 657 to 704 = 47 pts

TU 660 to 713 = 53 pts

EX 653 to 697 = 44 pts.

I did not make any other changes to my over all profile.  They only other possible factors are INQ's and new accounts aging past the 3 month mark?  But either way it looks like it paid off nicely for me!  Also, I have a closed in good standing auto loan, a closed transfered mortage, and a Forclosued mortgage on my reports.  Just an FYI.

Many thanks, Palmdale.  This must be the answer to the experience of our three friends on this thread.

Re: Adding an installment loan -- the Share Secure technique

My SSL is finally showing on CCT as of this evening 8/24 !! I am a monthly member for $14.99 and once a month I get a free 3 bureau report.... normally I would have waited until the 7th of every month to pull it...cause Alliant will have already reported by then...but after reading you guys post that it was there by going in back door...I decided to pull my 3 Bureau report tonite...and yes...the Alliant loan is there and my score dropped 5 pts(normal for adding a new account) and it shows my 80 $ balance owed( but it is really 44$) but Alliant hasn't yet reported this month yet...so I think it was always there...just CCT didn't update until I pulled my monthly free report...but it did update my WF credit card payment on the 22nd...

Re: Adding an installment loan -- the Share Secure technique

Mine showed the 80$ balance because this is my first report Alliant submitted. My first auto pay was 8/21... I deleted it on 8/20... and paid down to 44$ on 8/23. So that 44$ will be on Alliants next reporting to the bureaus on 8/31.

Got it, my first $44 balance report was 07/31 and that is the one not showing on EX or CCT.

Thank you for your info.
