All TU4 scores dropped?

There are plenty of changes I can't understand but this seems extremely odd.  Any known reason behind TU4 MTG (-8), AUTO (-7) and CC (-8) scores dropping when everything decreased?  Have you seen this?  Up with the other 2 bureaus.

I scrub my reports monthly and keep a monthly subscription just for DP's.  No changes other than UTL dropping, # of revolvers reporting changed from 3 to 2, and aging 1 month.  Nothing dropped off so AAoA is still over 11 yrs.

With the exception of MTG since the score is over 800 no factors provided, a review of factors from the other TU4 score ( is the same as last month with "You opened a new credit acct relatively recently" = 6 months ago.  And "The amount owed on your revolving and/or open-ended accts is too high" = 4.84%

Thoughts?

This is probably a job for----BIRDMAN!

Or somebody with a similar knowledge of the subtleties of the FICO score algorithm.

I kept the reporting balances exactly the same on my 2 open cards from November to December,  just to see the effects on all 28 FICO scores.

Everything went up, except the 3 EX2 scores. They all dropped between -19 and -22 points.

AoOA 1yr 11mo to 2yr 0mo

AoYA 11mo to 1yr 0mo

Maybe something similar happened to you going from 23yr 11mo to 24yr 0mo?

Re: All TU4 scores dropped?

Well, we know you went from "new accounts" to a "no new accounts" scorecard, at least on 8 @Anonymous . I'm still thinking about the 2s!

@Trudy have you done any calculating of AAoRA or AoORA? What about average and oldest loans?

Just curious, not that I think thats a reason, cuz I'm unsure. I'm actually pondering it. And wondering what could cause it.

Any charge cards or HELOCS?

Re: All TU4 scores dropped?

@Trudy comes up with some doozies! I'm stumped for the moment, unless there were some late updates or something?

If its not Charge card or HELOC or LOC, IDK.

It surely seems I do come up with oddities, not unlike my life as a whole.  I could tell you some stories.  Kinda sucks because often things can't be explained and I feel a need for an explanation.  I'm in finance and numbers are absolute in my mind yet FICO's algorithm is a completely different beast and the reason I continue to pay 2 different monthly subscriptions so I can "try" to understand as much as I can.  Yet, I don't venture in the +/- world trying to determine what nets something.

Anyway.... my AAoRA for open and closed is 12+ yrs.  My AoORA is my oldest acct at 24 years.  My AAo installments for open accts is only 2+ yrs. Including closed, 6+ yrs.  Just thought I'd throw in the difference between open and closed considering I'm a doozy although it shouldn't make a difference with FICO.

The only difference on the bureaus is that EQ has an old closed installment that adds 1 month to AAoA.  The other 2 are identical.

No HELOCs and we've had lengthy discussion regarding my 2 retail cards (Synch Home and Comenity) being classified as revolvers and bankcards on TU which is the bureau in question.  Yep another oddity from what you surmised.

I can at least be comfortable with my scores overall and no need for apps to....again resign to having no clue WHY.  Just thought I'd throw it out there incase there was something to be learned.

Re: All TU4 scores dropped?

Something changed on TU. Aging isn't gonna bring you down, unless possibly scorecard reassignment. But you are clean/thick/aged/new accounts on TU.

Did you drop an account? AU accounts all go to 0? What is different about TU? You are nowhere near clean>dirty, thin>thick, nonaged>aged. Your only high risk factor is the revolver under 12 months which makes your score a bit more volatile due to that scorecard. You aren't even close to theoretical thresholds for reassignment! (Except maybe the new account>no new account, 6 months off.)

Do you check WH daily? Can you isolate when this occurred? In a month, a lot can happen.

Re: All TU4 scores dropped?

I guess it's a scorecard re-assignment or something like CassieCard referenced above because absolutely nothing changed other than what I've provided in OP.  I know people say that all the time and later find something.  I scoured each report and the same accounts are there last month as are this month with the same information with exception of the decrease in balances.  I do check WH but the only thing that changed there was my Vantage score increased 2 pts when UTL dropped as it did on CK with both EQ and TU. WH still shows 4 closed accounts which is the same with all CMS.

No change in # of total accounts as my AAoA is as expected and the same for TU and EX. Explained the 1 month difference for EQ in post 6.

Re: All TU4 scores dropped?

I'm sorry @Trudy, I don't have an answer for this one, I'm gonna page someone who may be kind enough to chime in. I just can't imagine how you could have changed scorecards. And you went down on # of cards with a balance IIRC.

@Thomas_Thumb Can you offer any guidance, please?

You are squeaky clean, thick, AoOA 24 years, yeah, you are in a new account scorecard, but that shouldn't change at 6 months AoYR.

No worries, just thought I'd throw my experience out there in case someone had a clue.
