Amex new account reporting question

I have a question about Amex and some other credit cards that take longer to initially report a new account: could the fact that they don't report until after a couple statements have cut lessen the negative effect of a new account on your FICO score?  For example if they show up on your credit report with 2 statements already paid?

Thanks! I'm just trying to think of a silver lining while I wait and wait for my Amex BCE to report Smiley Happy

Re: Amex new account reporting question

My guess is that if there is a difference in points I think it would be minimal. You may get credit for 1 or 2 months of aging on the account like normal.
