Like many others, I have found Amex's erratic behavior in reporting to the the CRAs frustrating. They usually report late and skip reporting completely about once a year. This always makes you unsure of how Amex is affecting your reports and therefore your scores.
This morning (6/26) I updated my report with EX and found that they were reporting my new balance for Amex that closed YESTERDAY (6/25). Amazing.
Still waiting for EX to update two Chase accounts that closed 6/23 and 6/24. Perhaps they are looking to take over CapOne's place of taking a day or two extra to report.
So, has Amex fixed their erratic reporting or is this just another strange deviation from their version of normal?
My Amex Green used to report a month behind. Maybe it is a coincidence, but in the month of my FR (last spring), they skipped a month of reporting and from that point on they've updated my CRs w/ the statement balance a week following that month's statement. Now about a month or so ago, they did skip reporting on EX-only for me, but they were consistent since that FR.
My AMEX Zync only reported once on EX. It reports fine on EQ and TU. On EX however, it only reported once, with no subsequent payment history. It also has a term of 1 month on EX.
