Another big jump

The beginning of March I posted that my lone collection was removed from Equifax and I had a 53 pt jump.  I thought the increase should have been more but I was happy with it.  Two weeks after that, I had a 10 pt jump.  I thought ok, that is a little better.  To my surprise, I received an alert today regarding another change.  My score went up another 24 pts!!  I have no idea why unless everything is finally settling in with the collection removal.

My score is now 779!!!  I am shooting for 800 *fingers crossed*  lol

For the rebuilders reading this - In just under 2 1/2 years, my score went from 602 to 779.   Hang in there and have patience.  You can do it too!!!

Re: Another big jump

Well done and a good message of hope.

I've been rebuilding for several years and the last 18 months have been especially rewarding with my scores going from 650-670 to 820s in the last 18 months. This month my scores jumped about 20 points as my newest card aged past 12 months. I'll have a few final inquiries (HPs for CLIs) age past 12 months next month so there may be a few more points there.

Onward.

Derogs from 2009 and 2010 now gone after 7 years. I started paying attention to credit scores in about 2014. It's taken a few years but credit scores are now good after starting in the high 500s back in 2011

Re: Another big jump

Congrats 909!  The biggest thing against me right now is my AAoA.  It will be a frw months before I even break 2 yrs for that.  It might be another year before I hit 800 but now that it is dangling like a carrot, I am going for it lol

I think you may have answered the reason for my jump.  My citi card just hit the 12 month mark.  I don't have any more inquiries to age off on EQ.   All but one hp will fall off in August. TU leveled off a few months ago.  EX should catch up soon.

909, do you recall exactly how many points you received on each bureau FICO 08 score when your AoYA crossed 1 year?  You said about 20 points above, but I was curious if you know the exact numbers or if you saw more/less on any particular bureau score.  My AAoA is 6 years just like yours (looking at your sig) but my AoOA isn't as old as yours at just 16 years.  I'm trying to base what I could potentially see scoring wise if I were to allow my youngest account to cross 1 year since our profiles are somewhat similar.  I was always under the impression that it would be 5-10 points tops, but hearing 20 is pretty cool.  I'm about 10 weeks away from my mini-spree of 4 accounts from last June hitting 1 year.  My current scores are EX 751 and TU 764 with the presence of 1 dirty account on each, while on EQ I'm at 841 as it's clean.  This would suggest to me that there's a possibility that I could hit a "perfect" 850 on EQ in 10 weeks if I abstain from apping.
