If I add $4000 to a $10000 credit limit? My middle FICO SCORE IS 768 and I have outstanding debt of 11000 in student loans.
I'm purchasing an in-construction house and I need to buy appliances on my credit card and then be reiumbursed by the title company at closing. My loan for my house has already been approved, but through some unforseen cercumstances, the house may not close on time and my rate lock may expire, causing the lender to "re-run" my credit.
My concern is, that if I add $4000 debt and then my credit report is "re-run"....a significantly lower score may affect my interest rate on the home loan.
Approximate score drop advice would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Do you have any other CCs?
If so, you'd need to list the balances and CLs of each to get an accurate picture. Be sure to include any HELOCs or LOCs if reporting.
If this is your only CC, did you start at $0 then to $4000? Or was there a balance reporting?
I have another CC, but there is no balance.
The CC that I'm using has a balance of only $700, so the total balance would go to $4700 on a 10,000 limit. The only other debt I have is the student loans.
thank you very much.
You've been a tremendous help
