I am an authorized user on one of my mother's credit card accounts from many years ago so it shows up on my report as an authorized user account. It it current with no late payments.
I have several cards of my own. Some are to the limit and some are paid off. My question is, would my mother's account for which only an authorized user be calculated into my utilization percentage. Her limit and balance is much higher than mine. Right now if I include her card my utilization is at 53% but if I look at only my cards I'm at 63%. Right now it's helping me but if I pay all of mine off I still won't be able to get to a really low utilization because she cannot pay her's down since she can just do the minimum payments right now.
I'm working on saving for a house down payment and am doing well but I'm wondering if it would be worth it to pay down some of my cards. However if it will only change the perchantage a little bit then maybe it's not worth it. This would depend if they take her account into consideration of the calculation.

Yes, FICO revolving utilization includes AU account balances and limits in scoring.
