Authorized User - Cap One

My wife’s revolving utilization is holding her score down. Would adding her as an authorized signer on my card help boost her credit when it shows up on her profile. The card is a zero balance card.

Yes, it would now be considered in her overall utilization. She would see a boost in overall utilization score. However, each cards individual utilization also has a bearing on her utilization score. So paying down the utilization on that card or transferring it to your card if it has a high limit may be more beneficial but would need to know more info to know if that’s a good idea or not.

Adding her could also benefit her if the AAoA is high, and hers is low. Every few points matter. Hope this helps.

Yes, but don't forget.... Keep utilization low. Because anything done on that card will affect her score. If balance becomes high, it will only negatively impact her more.
