Does being an authorized user on my wife's credit cards affect my credit score?
Does it report to your credit file and show in your credit report?
Not all AUs report to the CRA; it may only for the purpose of providing them access to the card.
Howver, most consumers who add an AU do it for purposes of taking the scorng advantage of an account that has proven scoring benefit.
When you consented to the AU, did you not intend it to report to your credit file?
Credit karma has it on my reports but is that accurate? I will have to get the real reports myself. Never considered scoring impact when i became AU 5 years ago; its my wifes capital one card

CK obtains the real report. If it's on there, it's on the base reports. It's the same pull you can do just parsed into (by my taste) a much better format.
Under FICO 04/98 (mortgage) and earlier, absiolutely counts. Under FICO 8, it might not (anti-abuse piece of the algorithm), but it should frankly given your use case. If you're worried about it's impact (negative tradeline?) then get it removed.
