Authorized Users No Longer part of FICO!!!

Folks, I'm an Authorized user on my Wife's CC, and we Recently Paid it of, to the tune of $5000, on an 8000credit line, well all my Fako's Shot up Considerably, my FICO's did Not! What gives???

Has the Fico scores you were looking at reflected that the payment was made yet? Also the difference between the two may be a factor in this.

5000/8000 is only 62.5%, I've been higher with no penalty on a tradeline once so it does depend on the rest of your revolvers.  It's possible that your AU is being discounted on FICO 8 under their anti-abuse policy, do you have a change under any older model if you have access to those?

 

Really the way to tell if the AU is being counted is to zero out everything else and leave a small balance on the AU and see if you get whacked; if you do, let a balnce report on some other card and if it recovers, the AU is being discounted.  If you don't get a non-trivial negative, it's counted.
