Re: Authorized Users

My CU and Chase both allowed me to go joint from me plus AU.

Juniper said they only allow it on application and will not go joint later.

Amex I have not asked

I think pre-apps will nearly always be for the person whose credit they checked - call and ask if they will do a joint app.
The slide from grace is really more like gliding
And I've found the trick is not to stop the sliding
But to find a graceful way of staying slid

Thankee for that tidbit!  I don't want that one joint, but it is good to know

Re: Authorized Users

I think this interchange clearly shows the slow Darwinian de-evolution of the AU species.  Classic FICO may still include them.  But many manual reviews may choose to ignore.  Some creditors are phasing them out after account establishment, and not permitting later additions of AUs.  And FICO 08, if any lendor chooses to purchase and use it, would place the AU into extinction of the species.
I do not see a Green Peace initiative to "save the AU!"
