Authorized user utilization

Does anyone know if Autorized user balances count towards my utilization?  For all three reporting agencies?  Also is it an easy thing to have your name taken off ass an authorized user?  The account is not my oldest account.

Current Score: 686EQ, 710TU, 686EX (03/2017)

Re: Authorized user utilization

Yes, AU cards count toward utilization. Utilization should be kept in check as it will affect two (or more) credit reports.

The ease in removing AUs likely depends on the bank involved.

Re: Authorized user utilization

If I can piggy back here, I've also been wanting to know if AUs are included in utilization, despite what has always been said. Every time I review my Fico 3B reports, the fine print always says AUs are not included. So, are they or aren't they?

Wow I’ve never seen that. How did you get that to come up? It’s very strange. It would be nice to know 100% for sure

Check your latest report, click on "Items to Review", and then hover over the "Learn More" under utilization. It also shows my average and longest account ages based off MY cards and does not factor in any of the AU cards' ages.

Re: Authorized user utilization

AU UTI is included. I'm an AU on most of my husband's card (and vice versa) and a balance on any of those is also reflected on the AU cards. For example, if my Amex card reports a balance my husbands UTI (individual and ive1rall) will change too, assuming it's enough of a balance to create a change in the UTI.
