I usually practice AZEO, but often alter which card I leave a small balance on. I just recently md an error and paid the "one" account off in full
prior to another reporting a small balance. FYI: for those that are interested I took a 17 point hit on Experian, and a 21 point decline on TU, Equifax hasn't reported yet.
So I knew there was a "penalty" for no balances reporting, and also know that this will turn around...... but I just thought I'd let others out there know what the difference can actually be. I'm not applying for any new credit, but will still make sure that I don't make this error again.
Sorry this happened to you! Thankfully you didn't have any upcoming applications you were depending on a higher score for. I did this same thing last year when I was switching up my AZEO card I wanted to report a balance. The very next month I regained all the points I had lost. I'm hoping this will be your experience too! Thank you for sharing this experience with us!
Thanks Jordan, I have no pending applications at this time, When I went all zero my 3 scores took hits, 17, 21 & 23 points down.....( from mid 770's to 740's & 50's ) I have a card reporting in the next day or so which I made sure there was a balance on..... hopefully the scores will adjust right back to where they previously were.

@FishingGuy You're welcome! I think they will adjust back! Now what I do when I want to switch up my AZEO card is for one month I let the old card and new card both report a balance. This way if the timing is off I still won't get hit with the $0 balance penalty.
A Quick Update,
I let a $6 balance report..... and scores went up 17, 21 & 22 points on the three bureaus..... the difference is unbelievable to me.
Thanks for the data points.
