Hi!
IDK if this should be here or over in the bk section, but here is my question. I read somewhere on the 'net that a bk filing doesn't affect your score anymore after 2 years. Is this true? Any experiences? Have you seen a score jump at the 2 year mark? 2 years from filing or discharge? I ask because I just realized it was 2 years ago today that I filed haha.
TY!
This information seems invalid to me.
For one of the more mild derogatories, a 30-day late, this is the rule of thumb, but a BK is another matter.
You can read through some of the back threads here to get a sense of the scoring hit over time for a BK.
That's kind of what I thought, but *shrug*, I'll take any point increase I can get! What keywords can I use to get the best results in the search?

You could start with this Google search:
site:myfico.com effect bk score
and then adjust search terms, for example "bankruptcy" instead of "bk", and "impact" instead of "effect".
TY!!
