Sometimes you just have to see for yourself how crazy FICO scoring can be.
My EQ score was 732 until my impatience got the best of me. I was so mad that citi did not report my zero balance at statment end I decided to dispute their current balance.
BUT I had charge my gas bill to citi and the payment to clear it didn't go through in time ( silly me)
Well even though my CL on citi increase at the same time, went up by $1100, I charged my $129 gas bill on the card resulting in a 4 point drop.
Not really sweating it but I will play the game a little better next time for sure
I screwed up my math on paying my citi this past cycle and ended up with a $2 balance. They reported $2! Haha.
That's the name of this game. Lessons learning 101.
For example i thought my FICO scores were fairly stable after these years of building history and backing off sprees right?
App'd and approved for (1) new card at the top of this year, Jan 1, with a lender in an existing relationship for a 2nd card.
RESULT? A full 9 point drop across all bureas each.
LESSON LEARNED? New accounts even on a semi-seasoned profile sporting a halfway decent seemingly SAFE FICO pulls out some of the Lego Blocks more than expected.
Still a work always in progress trying to "chase" that sweet spot because IT MOVES AROUND! and the least little something unbalances things.

I had Amex report $1 a few months back. I was expecting to report a zero balance and then I did a CCT $1 trial and I forgot that my Amex card was the one on file, so a dollar eight charge snuck in before Amex reported. I was pretty surprised they reported the buck.
Good outlook (not sweating it).
I call it "Fico noise". Your scores will fluctuate slightly, sometimes for no good reason, while they climb over the years.
Just keep swimmin' :]

Lord lol
I have yet to have a balance so small that it doesn't report. I've done $1 with Amex, $3 with Discover, etc. and I've never had a balance so small that it reported as $0. I know the general rule of thumb around here is $5 or greater to be "sure" but from my experience literally any balance works.
