Re: MY NEW CREDIT SCORES

Oh wow!
How much time has to pass before I no longer have a thin file?
I just got 3 lines of new credit this past week, my Capital One credit file will be 2 years old in Sept and my Disovery file I opened in March 2019.

With these new cards I guess I will be starting at zero again Smiley Sad

With 5 cards, you don't have a thin file anymore. You're good!

With only 2 cards, I'll have a thin file for a long time, until I get a new car and mortgage.

I think if you applied for another card after a year, that next inquiry would probably be less than 5pts.

Assuming 23mos for the Capital One card and 5mos for the Discover card, with just those 2 accounts on your file:

Current:

Age of Oldest Account (AoOA): 1 yr 11 mo

Average Age of Accounts (AAoA):  1 yr 2 mo

Age of Youngest Account (AoYA): 5 mo

After 3 new cards and on September's report:

Age of Oldest Account (AoOA): 2 yr 0 mo

Average Age of Accounts (AAoA):  7 mo  ( (24+6+2+2+2) / 5 ) (The cards in July will start aging from the 1st, so they will be 2mo each)

Age of Youngest Account (AoYA): 2 mo

It's the AoYA under 1yr that really hurts right now. I just crossed the AAoA 1 year threshold and only got +4pts on my TU 8. It's basically a non-event scoring wise.

<img src="https://img.shields.io/static/v1.svg?label=FICO&amp;message=733&amp;color=000000&amp;style=plastic&amp;labelColor=00c000">

Cut and paste that to your profile settings. Change the labelColor and color to a standard hexadecimal RGB color of your choice.

Are your TU and EQ scores from Credit Karma? Which bureau is the 'FICO 733' from?
