I am at a loss as to why I would have almost a 75 point difference between my FICO 8 and FICO 9 Bankcard scores. Mainly concerned about TU and EX. Why would these be so far off??
Bankcard:
Fico 8 EQ 597 TU 615 EX 600
Fico 9 EQ 574 TU 540 EX 535

Bankcard:
Fico 8 EQ 597 TU 615 EX 600
Fico 9 EQ 574 TU 540 EX 535
Possible differences between FICO 9 & FICO 8:
-paid collections not counted in 9
-unpaid collections given more weight in 9
-medical collections given less weight in 9
-rental history counted in 9
-recent inquiries given less weight in 9
-average age of accounts given less weight in 9
-no. of accts reporting balance given more weight in 9
-premium for open as opposed to closed installment loans reduced in 9
-installment loan utilization percentage given more weight in 9
-9 more sensitive to revolving utilization
-9 has a separate clean scorecard for people with high revolving utilization

Thank you for this. Based in most if the items in this list, I would actually expect my FICO 9BC to be higher than FICO 8BC

Do you have a small $ collection that shows up on TU and EX but not EQ? If so, that could help explain the 65 to 75 point drop on TU and EX compared with the 23 point drop on EQ. I suspect multiple late payments might have a greater impact on BC9 as well.

Actually my 3 paid medical collections are on TU and EQ and not EX. Its so frustrating. I guess I need to always monitor these FICO 9 scores since it seems they are being used more frequently these days.
So, no small $ unpaid collections? It is small unpaid that cause a penalty on Fico 9 but might be ignored on Fico 8 if less than $100. Even if they have been paid, they may not always show up as such if there is a delay or issue in reporting. Also, what do you have for late payments?

I definately have late payments...nothing recent but still within the 7 year window. Maybe this accounts for the difference.
