Re: Cancelling 3 Score Watch Monitoring

Score Watch based on Equifax was absolutely fantastic until they switched to the FICO 08 model. I tried Quarterly Monitoring based on Transunion before, and all I got from it was basically the FICO report every quarter. For TU monitoring, Credit Karma does more than a fine job. For equifax monitoring though, I don't think I can find anything better than Score Watch, considering that it also keeps track of one of my FICO scores.

I just find the TU monitoring with both CK and here weird. There were definately some balance changes which led my eq and ex scores to fluctuate, but neither of them picked up any balance changes. Also my Wally score was 796 at beginning of month and discover just posted my TU and it was 802, but the myfico scoring didn't notice any change. Its still showing 804 which was my score last month...

I signed up for the 3 score/report monitoring on 8/22 and will definitely be cancelling this service when the 3 months are up in October. I have gotten exactly 4 updates on Experian, and none on Transunion. I spoke to CSR today at MyFico, and their explanation was so so on why I'm not getting alerts. For transunion they say that their are limited alerts, and that I probably won't get anything else score changes, inquiries, etc. Well, my experian and transunion score has not changed 1 point up or down in 6 weeks. Just not worth the extra month if nothing is going to be reported. I will just get my scores periodically if I need them.

I kind of agree you the op. it was a nice ideal. but 240 dollars a year. for a few updates. no thanks. i will get them as i need them. i signed up on 8-25.

so on November. 26th. goodbye my 3b monitoring. August to September.

September to October.

October to November..

I think thats why they want 3 months. so as not to lose money.

It cost 20 each bureau any way.

ok. but i will get it when i want it. not when they want to give it.

so i beleive i should cancel on 11-24. since they will bill me anyway.

Re: Cancelling 3 Score Watch Monitoring

Funny.......one day after calling to voice my concern over the 3 score watch  monitoring, today I get a Transunion alert. The alert was a balance change. Current Retail Trades balance of $800.00. Which is incorrect. I know what has posted, and its definitely off. No score change at all. Just one more reason to cancel.

Re: Cancelling 3 Score Watch Monitoring

It logically seems like retail tradelines should be store cards and not bank cards.  Discover, Mastercard, Visa, etc., should be bank tradelines or something like that, while a Best Buy card, a Sears card, etc. should be retail tradelines even though they're from Citibank.
