CapOne PIF

Please let me know what you think:

My Capital One card had a small balance of $102 and was PIF as I have auto-pay setup.

My new Barclay Card already reported the NEW account to CBs with $0 balance BEFORE they even mailed me the card. So both my credit cards are reporting no balances, however the CapOne I've had over 3 years with recent activity.

Well today I get this alert message from MyFico:

TRANSUNION

The total balance on all your Bankcard account(s) has changed. The amount is a sum of all Bankcard balances.     Score decrease 17 points!!!

EQUIFAX

The balance on one of your accounts has decreased by $102.     Score decrease 13 points!!!

Does this seem like an error as I didn't realize PIF or $0 balance can DECREASE your score 17 points??? This seems very extreme... Or is this typical? Any action I should take?

Please advise! Smiley Happy

Let one report a small balance and the points will be returned to you. All at 0 is a Fico score ding, this is within the norms seen with all at 0.
