Re: Closing credit card with AU how does it affect the AU's score?

Interesting.....

Just checked my card accounts that he is an AU on and haven't had either one not report a balance for over a year.... Now this is my spend on the card (I don't know if it matters who uses the account?) He uses the AU cards average less than once every few months.

From what your saying, I'm wondering if either one is reporting on his credit report....

If that is the case, it's possible you can get an 800 score with just a single account on your credit report.....

Oh I think that's possible, it’s just easier with two or three for score 8.

I’m sure its probably reporting, the question is whether or not the anti-abuse algorithm is filtering it out. It’s definitely counting on the mortgage scores, it’s just score 8 and forward has an anti-abuse algorithm that sometimes will not count authorized user accounts.
