Yes, and it also depends strongly on the seriousness oif the late pay. 30-day lates are minor derogs, but once they rise to 60, 90, 120+, they are major derogs that put your report into the "dirty" category.
I dont know where collection accunts fall within the FICO algorithm as to seriousness, but it is certain that the scale for other lates depends on the degree of lateness, as well as the time since the derog was reported. No simple answer to this one!
