Thank you for explaining. I have one additional question. Once something is removed/deleted can it be added back to your report?
Technically yes, any information that is removed can be added back at a later time. Sometimes it can be intentional, sometimes a mistake. I always suggest getting in writing any time a creditor is going to remove something from your report. Have them send you a letter, fax, email, something just for "your records" and 9 times out of 10 they'll do so. This way in the event that you ever see the negative information return (which isn't often) you have written documentation that you can provide stating that it shouldn't be there. This documentation can used to once again get it removed, or can be used upon a manual review of your account if you're applying for a loan and want to prove to the lender that it's wrongfully reported, which they would take into consideration.
I've had a removed late payment return and was able to get it removed again by referencing a copy of the letter(s) stating that it was supposed to be removed originally.
Gotcha. Did they ever send you a result of the dispute via snail mail saying that the information was going to be / had been removed?
Good. You are all set then should they ever pop back up on your credit report.
Any time. Welcome to the forum!
Yes once all derogs , collections, charge offs, any public records, you will see a score increase. Do you have any past late payments on your credit?
Are you subscribed to anything to give you alerts on your FICO scores as changes happen? ie balance increases, decreases, inquiries, etc?
You only speak of TU, so do you know anything of your other two reports and their scores?
