Re: ANSWERED 8/4/08 ...this age old question; account aging to 1 year?

I'm confused tonight. Maybe I'm too tired. I was playing with the sim on a profile that was in bucket "T". This was the first time I ever got to sim "T". I'm used to working in buckets "N" and "S". Currently my personal CR is in bucket "S". And to further complicate things my girlfriend might be in bucket "O". I thought the new sim wasn't being as accurate as the old sim because it wasn't working as it used to for bucket "T". But I really can't base that on "T" since this was my first exposure to "T" and can't assume that bucket scores like what I am more used to "N" and "S". I thought my girlfriend was in bucket "N" so when I ran the sim on her CR I didn't see what I expected to. Then thought wait a min, I got the same results with the other CR in bucket "T" so the sim must have been changed to work differently. But that was until I realized my girlfriend might actually be in bucket "O" and the sim is working like it used to unchanged. With out being able to run my own CR through the new sim tonight to see if it was changed and working differently I really don't know if this is a bucket thing or if the sim was modified. If I knew for sure the sim was unchanged how it worked with the new update I could say for sure that my girlfriend is in bucket "0". There are too many factors to get a straight answer with out further testing. If I had a profile in the buckets I am used to "N" and "S" I would know right way if the sim was changed or unchanged and be able to know if my GF had UTL affecting the score.

Being that, lets just wait for Discover to update my girlfriends CR and we will know for a fact what happened. 2 weeks. Factoring 4 different buckets when I don't even know if the sim has been modified and not knowing what bucket my girlfriend is in, never mind. Easier to wait 2 weeks for a score watch update!! Going to bed now. Smiley Happy Sorry I tried to get an answer so we didn't have to wait. Gotta wait.

Do you see why I love this game so much. If you got lost I was talking about buckets "O", "N", "S", "T". That spells Onst! That doesn't mean anything. Smiley Happy Yea I'm really tired now.

Re: ANSWERED 8/4/08 ...this age old question; account aging to 1 year?

As far as the letters I used to identify buckets I just made them up. They represent true buckets but I could have just used Alpha, Beta, ect... The letters only mean something to me so I know which bucket I am talking about. Some people call them the newbie bucket, age bucket, baddie bucket, ect... I gave them all letters. If you watch your CRs close enough they become easier to identify.

"new"?
"short"?
"old"?

surely not "thin" --no way your file will ever be called thin. Smiley Wink

A few more days if Discover reports early again. UTL is perfect this time. A sure answer if all goes properly.

Re: WAIT this is still open! ...this age old question; account aging to 1 year?

I'm jealous! I'm waiting for my Kohl's and Penny's cards to update. It's killing me knowing that the changes are coming but they're not here yet. If nothing else I guess this teaches me patience?

Put it this way, if it's teaching patience, I'm still learning. Smiley Wink

Re: WAIT this is still open! ...this age old question; account aging to 1 year?

I just paid off 3 and had a credit zero out the 4th of my department store cards, leaving only 3 with balances. I'm trying to convince myself that instead of paying the $13 (roughly) once a week, it's better to put that $40 or so toward paying off the cards and when that's all said and done pull. If I didn't have true credit, I'd be going insane. My util is at 15% on one and 30 something on the other but that's cause the bureau that reports util percentage (I never can remember if it's EQ or EXP) deleted my Applied Bank card account for no reason, so $630 out of 1800 is gone but I'm hoping it comes back. When they report again, it'll be down to $430 or so and if all goes well will get them paid off by end of Sept at latest. I need to remember that I'm going for the mortgage in May-June not now. Nothing wrong with letting the reports marinate until things update and then checking scores. Sorry for hijacking the thread, I'm just frustrated and know you guys understand!
