Also, what was the age of the CA account in relationship to your other accounts (good or bad)? Sometimes a derog being removed loses you AAoA and the net result is minimal or no gains, and sometimes even FICO losses.
However, no gain (same score) without the derog is a MUCH MUCH MUCH stronger CR than with the derog. Not all scores are equal, even when the numbers are the same. Remember that FICO is filtering and first tier qualifier, but the actual contents account for as much or more in final decisions, CL's and access to Prime lenders.

Thankfully CAs and PRs aren't factored into AAoA, though a CA's DOFD and DOLA can impact the points gained.
The account was listed under the accounts. My oldest account is over 17 years old and my AAofA is over 8 1/2 years with about 15 accounts listed. I don't think any of that would have been affected by much.
The CA was AFNI. It was opened in 03/08. I have had 2 x 30 since the opening of the collection. The collection was being reported as currently 120 days past due. I did have other CA that dropped off before this one. This was just my last one. It was not the newest or the oldest. I assumed there would be some sort of increase due to age and it being the only one reported at that time. I had an older CA that was in dispute. My score increased by 7 points when it went into dispute. When the dispute was removed my score dropped 7 points. That account was listed under collections and was opened in 06/05.
I think I am going to give up even trying to figure any of this out anymore! LOL

If DOFD and DOLA impact points gained then do they impact points lost also? I have 2 CO's that were sold. DOFD was 5 years ago. If a new CA reports them will it be a smaller hit then if the DOFD was recent?
