Confused by the difference in scores for each bureau

So I decided to get the trial with CCT this morning because I wanted to see my updated scores and whether some information had been removed. To my surprise, there is a huge disparity in my EX and TU scores. Even my EQ score is higher than my TU, yet the reporting on both are pretty much the same.

I have one charge-off account that shows on all 3 (Bank of America, with a $460 balance, EQ and EX are reporting one 30 day late and then the charge-off the following month, while TU doesn't seem to be showing any lates).

Experian is showing 4 inquiries, 3 that are less than a year old. TU is showing the same but one of the inquiries is a duplicate and I am trying to get it removed. EQ is showing 3 from the past year and 9 overall.

Both EQ and TU are showing a collection account for a charge-off account that was opened fraudulently in my name. The charge-off account had been showing up until a couple weeks ago (give or take) and was removed because of that. I had no problem getting EX to remove the collection, TU says they will remove it once they receive a letter stating why I want it removed, along with the FTC ID Theft Report I filed. EQ has been a pain to deal with. I disputed it on the 10th and uploaded the report. I called a couple days later and was told it would be blocked within 5 days. Called yesterday to find out they are refusing to block it and are just stating their right to not block it (they also essentially said they weren't interested in disputing it and kept saying it would fall off in August of next year).

Outside of those differences, there really isn't anything else noticeable that would cause such a score difference (at least not that I can see). I do have a card on EQ and TU that I am an AU on but it hasn't shown up on EX yet. I assume that wouldn't cause that much of a difference, if any?

Any ides as to why my TU score is so low compared to the other 2? Especially when TU and EQ are seemingly identical. How accurate are CCT's scores? I ask because my EX from 6 days ago was 667 and now it is 722. That seems like a huge jump for it being less than a week. I also noticed that, according to CCT, EQ is showing all my credit cards as Installment Loans (even the charged-off account). Is that just a glitch?

I'm confused.

1. What are the scores?

2. What are the differences in the reports?

TU 657 EX 722 EQ 681

I tried explaining in as much detail the differences on each report as I could. Maybe I didn't do a good job of it. I have a charge-off showing on all 3 reports (EQ and EX are reporting 1 30 day late payment on it, TU is reporting none). I have a collection on TU and EQ, it was removed off of EX. I have an AU account on EQ and TU that is not reporting on EX yet. Number of inquiries in the past year are essentially the same (either 3 or 4, depending on the bureau) and balances reported (outside of the $130 balance on the AU account) are the same on all 3.

It is not surprising that the collection which shows up on TU and EQ is hurting those scores.

It is not surprising that the 30-day late which shows up on EQ is hurting that score.

It is surprising that EX is doing so well despite the 30-day late.

And that's why I am confused. I totally understand the scores for TU and EQ. They're about where I expect them to be. I was surprised to see my EX score go from 667 on the 10th to 722 on the 16th.

Have you seen an updated EX report? Probably there's some change that's helping your EX score. Also sometimes there are subtle differences, like passing a milestone in average age of accounts, etc.

Re: Confused by the difference in scores for each bureau

I would think a 55 point changing event would be pretty obvious from looking at your 2 credit reports side by side... I doubt there'd be anything subtle about it.  I also don't believe that an age of accounts related threshold being crossed would ever result in that many points, so it has to be something else IMO.

If OP has an open dispute, EX could be temporarily excluding that TL from scoring
