Hello,
I am looking at a TU credit report that has 2 credit cards with a status of "T" ( formely AU accounts). My question is : Why is FICO counting them in the Credit Limit when determining the overall CUR? I have added all of the credit limits and they ARE included in that Credit Limit total.
I have read through several questions on this and the answer always seems to be that once they are no longer AU and the account is showing as "T" they are NOT included in the overall Credit Limit total.
In this case they are helping, but just wondering why, if one does not have access to the credit card anymore why FICO should count them as available credit limits?
Thanks!

The link below will tell you what the status means on page 5 The status is called an ECOA code
Here is an example of where the ECOA code may be used. Let's say I have an authorized user account on my credit report. The AU the credit card is maxed I.E the balance and the credit limit are the same nimber. I ask the creditor or credit bureaus to remove from this account. After I have been removed from the account it may be reported with an ECOA code of T.
Hi, I do understand that T stands for "relationship is terminated" My question was : Why is FICO counting the card's credit limit when determining the overall CUR? I have added all of the credit limits of each individual card including the one that has the "T" status and they ARE included in the overall Credit Limit total. Or is it Trans Union that is making the error here?

TransUnion would be mistakenly reporting the CL on a closed account. Fico scores are generated based on what information is reported.
Thanks for helping me figure this out!
